Since the inception of WHNA’s Neighborhood Plan, replacing the storage shed in Weigent Park has been a priority. With left over 2019 CIP funds awarded from the city, WHNA is focused on making this plan a reality.

Infrastructure Committee
Playground equipment replaced at Weigent Park with 2019 CIP money. This included full replacement of existing equipment with consideration to variety of age groups. New soft surface replaces mulch which was clogging storm drains.
Environment Committee
Summer 2019
With help in planning and support from Parks Department, WHNA utilized CIP funding to plant new boulevard trees to fill in areas where ash trees were cut down and other gaps. Much consideration went into neighbor education and aftercare.

Using CIP funds, WHNA worked with the city of La Crosse to upgrade the crosse walk at 21st Street S and Cass. Upgrades included median barrier with safety features for the hearing and visually impaired.
